1 STEP 1: No activity, only complete rest. Includes avoiding both mental and physical stress.
2 STEP 2: Light aerobic exercise. Monitor for symptoms and signs. NO resistance training or weight training.
3 STEP 3: Sport specific activities and training (e.g. skating)
4 STEP 4: Drills without body contact. May add light resistance training and progress to heavier weights
5 REASSESSMENT & NOTE: Go to Step 5 after medical clearance.
6 STEP 5: Begin drills with body contact
7 STEP 6: Game play.
8 IMPORTANT NOTE: Earliest a concussed athlete should return is one week. Each step s/b minimum of one day.
